Given the very public nature of — camera-hogging might be more appropriate — that some in the U.S. hierarchy engage in, every now and then, it’s inevitable that a face palm, or an eye roll moment is going to happen. But there are face palms, and then there are face palms.
Cdl. Cupich: “Hello everyone, I’m Cdl. Blase Cupich, and I’m pleased today to read a book called Goodnight Moon. It’s written by Margaret Wise Brown, and the pictures are by Clement Hurd. ‘In the great green room, there was a telephone and a red balloon and a picture of the cow jumping over the moon.'”
The video goes on just like that for seven torturous minutes and just ends when the book is over.
It was posted on the Chicago archdiocese’s YouTube channel with the description:
Cardinal Blase Cupich reads the popular children’s book Goodnight Moon as part of Live From the Library. The Chicago Public Library, in partnership with the Mayor’s Office, launched Live From the Library, a daily program featuring notable Chicagoans reading their favorite children’s books.
The mayor of Chicago is Lori Lightfoot, the same mayor who threatened the citizens she is supposed to serve with being arrested if they dared break her commands to stay at home.
Mayor Lightfoot: “We will shut you down, we will cite you and if we need to, we will arrest you and we will take you to jail. Period.”
And then they will turn you loose with all the other criminals so you don’t get the Wuhan.
We’re concentrating on Mayor Lightfoot, an avowed lesbian, by the way, because there is a connection back to Cupich.
Remember back in 2018 when Chicago priest Fr. Paul Kalchik witnessed his parishioners burning a rainbow banner that had hung in the parish 20 years ago? You’ll recall Kalchik had to flee for his life because of the death threats from gay activists as well as having to get out of dodge because Cupich sent some gay chancery goons to the parish to whisk Fr. away to St. Luke’s, the priest nuthouse in Maryland.
But here is the connection: Before Lightfoot was mayor, she was in city government and called Cupich to say Kalchik had to go for burning the banner.
Cupich dutifully complied.
So here’s a question: The archdiocese has laid off employees, slashing parishes, all but placed armed guards on the front steps to make sure no one goes in a Church — and yet how does he have time for this?
He has had one of the most disgraceful runs in such a short time of any senior prelate in the country. He was Pope Francis’ hatchet man for the McCarrick scandal engineering the further deflection and coverup at the the 2019 Vatican Sex Summit.
He made sure at the annual meeting that when the topic came up of priests having gay sex with consenting males that it got tabled, and then never brought up again.
His now-infamous attempt to pass over the homopredator clergy abuse issue in an interview with a local network affiliate has become legendary.
Cupich: “The pope has a bigger agenda. He’s got to get on with other things, of talking about the environment and protecting migrants and carrying on the work of the Church. We’re not going to go down a rabbit hole on this.”
Then when he was called out for that moronic remark, he lied and said the station edited him out of context. He even had a statement read aloud from the pulpits saying so. In response, the station released the entire video for viewers to watch for themselves — and true to form for this crowd of senior prelates, he had lied through his teeth.
He did say it, and it was in context.
What he should add to that is that he’s also the consolidator of all things Francis in the Church in America — he who sits at the right hand of the power of this pontificate behind the scenes, pulling the strings, for example, on the latest bishop appointments around the nation.
Pope Francis and the gay cabal in Rome need men like Cupich out in the field, exercising their will and putting people in place to execute a complete overrun of the Church.
And since the days of homosexual satanist Cdl. Joseph Bernardin, Chicago has proven to be the seat of power for all that.
Bernardin was archbishop of Chicago from 1982-1996, and during those fourteen years turned the clergy of the diocese, the chancery and a sizable portion of the US hierarchy gay.
As an aside, the reason there even was a gay banner in Fr. Kalchik’s parish was because Bernardin had annointed that parish the “gay parish” and installed an active homosexual as pastor who then covered up the crucifix with that gay banner 20 years earlier.
After Bernardin, the hapless Francis George became cardinal of Chicago and just let the gay crap carry on, telling friends privately that it was so widespread he couldn’t do anything. True enough.
And after Cdl. George’s death, Cupich took over the reins of gay Chicago in 2014 and has advanced that ball far down the field.
So, now the pope’s man in America, who has successfully blocked any formal attempt to uncover the truth about homosexuality within the ranks of the clergy, the extent of the homopredator network and cover-up, as well as deflected like a champion news about the never-to-be-released McCarrick report — who, by the way, owes his postion to McCarrick — is now reading bedtime stories to children from the Chicago Public Library.
Bedtime with Blase — more like cringy with the cardinal.

JANE ROE: DID SHE REALLY TURN PRO-LIFE?
Controversy swirls with new documentary

Controversy swirls as a new documentary is released on the life of Norma McCorvey, “Jane Roe” of Roe v. Wade.
After living a tough life and being used by lawyers to legalize abortion in 1973, Norma converted to Christianity.
Or did she?
Before her death she is seen as claiming protestant evangelical leaders used her, like the pro-abortion movement did before that.
Reverend Flip Benham, who baptized McCorvey, does not disagree.
In the documentary, she says she was paid and told what to say by the evangelicals.
Later in life, McCorvey converted to Catholicism under the spiritual guidance of Fr. Frank Pavone of Priests for Life.
Fr. Pavone insists her conversion to becoming a pro-life Catholic was genuine.
Pro-life leaders Abby Johnson and Lila Rose refute the documentary, believing McCorvey was, once again, manipulated for political ends.
Ironically, the other plaintiff involved with legalizing abortion, Sandra Cano, “Mary Doe” of Doe vs. Bolton, was staunchly pro-life at the time of the ruling, as she told the U.S. Senate in 2005, and she remained that way until the last day of her life.
We may never know in this life the complicated heart and mind of Norma McCorvey.
But we do know the legacy that bears her pseudonym continues to passionately unfold.
For hundreds of millions of innocents, and for civilization itself, it’s a matter of life and death.

CENSORING CORONA
YouTube only permitting WHO narrative

YouTube is censoring an anti-lockdown doctor’s viral video.
The former head of biostatistics, epidemiology and research design at Rockefeller University New York, Dr. Knut M. Wittkowski, had his most popular video erased from the social media platform.
The video is heavily critical of government’s response to the virus, arguing shelter-in-place orders only prolong the pandemic.
Wittkowski: “With all respiratory diseases, the only thing that stops the disease is herd immunity. About 80% of the people need to have had contact with the virus, and the majority of them won’t even have recognized that they were infected.”
With no notice from YouTube telling him why the video was deleted, Dr. Wittkowski found the move puzzling saying: “They don’t tell you. They just say it violates our community standards. There’s no explanation for what those standards are or what standards it violated.”
But he is not the only lockdown skeptic falling prey to social media censorship — anti-lockdown documentary Plandemic, another video with millions of views, was also taken down by YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook and Twitter for “unsubstantiated diagnostic advice.”
Facebook removed the Michiganders Against Excessive Quarantine Facebook group as well, a group with 386,000 members.
With lockdowns continuing, YouTube and other social media platforms appear devoted to their online censorship campaigns — explicitly admitting the only narrative that will be allowed is that of the World Health Organization.
YouTube CEO: “Anything that goes against [WHO] recommendations would be a violation of our policy and so removal is another really important part of our policy.”

The Left’s great fear of death

Much of the world remains on lockdown: businesses closed (some permanently); schools empty; public gatherings cancelled — all of this, to slow the spread of a virus so hospitals don’t get overwhelmed.
Some of the most vociferous advocates for shutting down the economy and enforcing social distancing — in the hope of reducing the number of deaths — are political leftists who support abortion and assisted suicide.
The spread of the virus — and the resulting lockdown orders — caused widespread panic in the U.S. in March and rocked world financial markets.
It also led to a total shutdown of public Masses throughout the nation.
But many are now arguing the panicky response to the virus was over-the-top.
An infographic published May 15th by Visual Capitalist says that coronavirus has killed an average of 2,000 per day this year — less than one-tenth the number of deaths caused each day by cardiovascular disease, or cancer.
Furthermore, the estimated number of abortions worldwide is about 125,000 per day.
Some say the collective meltdown over the Wuhan virus was facilitated by people’s phobias about death — and their lack of belief in eternity.
As restrictions ease up, only time will tell if Americans are willing to overcome the panic and bring society back to at least some semblance of “normal.”

UNCLEAN: COMMUNION IN THE HAND
Doctor declares hands more unhygienic than tongue

Receiving Holy Communion on the tongue is safer than in the hand, says a prominent Catholic doctor.
As churches in the United States and Italy open up for public Mass this week, some bishops are claiming Communion in the hand is safer but the president of Italy’s Catholic Medical Association, Fillippo Boscia, says that’s not true.
In a May 10th interview with Italian Catholic website La Fede Quotidiana, Boscia says “Communion in the hand is more contagious … on the tongue is safer than the one on the hand,” noting hands need constant disinfection.
He’s the latest to weigh in on the ongoing Communion wars, where priests and bishops are at odds with each other and the Church regarding the distribution of Communion during the Wuhan virus panic.
The Vatican’s Congregation of Divine Worship directed in 2004, “each of the faithful always has the right to receive Holy Communion of the tongue.”
The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops agrees with the Vatican’s directive, saying on April 30th, “[W]e believe that, with the precautions listed here, it is possible to distribute on the tongue without unreasonable risk.”
Portland Oregon archbishop Alexander Sample consulted two physicians who said the risk is “equally probable and one’s hands have a greater exposure to germs.”
Despite all that some bishops like Richard Stika of Knoxville, Tennessee, are still threatening to throw people out of church if they kneel for Communion.
