‘GOD’ BEATS ATHEISTS: Court sides with religion

Atheist activists have lost a court case to remove the name of God from public life.
On April 3, the U.S. 1st Circuit Court of Appeals ruled against an atheist objection to the use of the phrase “so help me God” in the naturalization oath for citizenship.
The lawsuit was filed in 2017 by Olga Perrier-Bilbo, a woman from France seeking American citizenship. It argued that the reference to God in the oath, even though it can be omitted if applicants wish, violates the Constitution because it recognizes religious belief.
But the court of appeals determined:
Perrier-Bilbo argues that she would still be compelled to affirm a religious belief she does not share if she were to take part in an oath ceremony where the phrase is used by others. Mere exposure to different religious ideas, however, does not prevent Perrier-Bilbo from ascribing to or pursuing her own belief.
It also argued, “The government is not required to further Perrier-Bilbo’s spiritual development or conform to her religious beliefs.”
As atheists continue the push to remove God and religion from public life, people of faith are happy to see some judges upholding references to God.

WHO’s decisions helped spread the Wuhan virus

President Trump: “We’re gonna put a hold on money spent to the WHO. We’re gonna put a very powerful hold on it.”
President Trump is shutting down U.S. funding of the pro-communist World Health Organization, also known as WHO, that has a whopping $2 billion annual budget.
“We pay for a majority, the biggest portion of their money,” Trump noted.
His reason: WHO resisted Trump’s early call to restrict travel with virus-plagued China.
“They actually criticized and disagreed with my travel ban at the time I did it,” said the president. “And they were wrong.”
A recent resolution by the U.S. House of Representatives blames China for the global pandemic, saying “China made multiple, serious mistakes in the early stages of the COVID-19 outbreak.”
These so-called mistakes include intentional spread of misinformation, refusal to cooperate with international health authorities and internal censorship of doctors and journalists.
Trump suspects WHO of helping China deceive the world.
“They had a lot of information early, and they … seem to be very China-centric.”
Additionally, Florida Gov. Rick Scott is calling for a congressional investigation of WHO for willfully spreading misinformation about the pandemic.
And Arizona Gov. Martha McSally last week called for Tedros Adhanom to step down as director-general of WHO.
Adhanom is in the spotlight for his ties to a violent communist group in Ethiopia.
“I’ve never trusted a communist,” admitted McSally. “And their cover-up of this virus that originated with them has caused unnecessary deaths around America and the world.”
Trump says WHO probably did know the facts but chose not to act.
President Trump: “They could have called it months earlier. They would have known. And they should have known. And they probably did know.”
China’s Wuhan virus, that some say is a biological weapon, has already attacked nearly one and a half million victims worldwide, killing more than 85 thousand more with no end in sight.
