GAGGING FAITHFUL CATHOLICS:  Christine Niles talks to Dr. Anne Hendershott

On this week’s episode of Mic’d Up, Catholic sociologist and professor Dr. Anne Hendershott talks to Christine Niles about George Neumayr’s ongoing investigation into Washington, D.C. Msgr. Walter Rossi.

She also discusses how she and Dr. Stephen Krason, another Franciscan University professor, were attacked in April for being “strongly ideologically aligned with the far right of American politics.”

Hendershott is also the director of the Veritas Center for Ethics in Public Life, whose mission is to promote “natural moral law, illuminated by the light of faith, in order to defend both human freedom and dignity in the public square.”

Alumni accused them of conflating “orthodoxy with American right-wing partisanship,” the letter claims, adding that “the Veritas Institute does not provide a venue for this debate but rather an echo-chamber for the ideological right.”
