Slowly But Surely Making Gay Okay
Bp. Schneider: “[T]o commit homosexual acts and that lifestyle is not correct.”
When you control the language, you control the argument. And that’s what the gay agenda has done and continues to do.
The media portrays so-called gays and lesbians as victims of discrimination and hatred. They paint homosexuals as harmless people who simply want to express their love differently but are marginalized and bullied by bigots. Even in the Church today there is a movement to speak inclusively and positively of those who experience same-sex attraction.
For instance, the Midterm Relatio from last year’s Synod on the Family in Rome encouraged the Church’s acceptance of homosexual persons as such. Among other comments, it says:
Homosexuals have gifts and qualities to offer to the Christian community: Are we capable of welcoming these people, guaranteeing to them a fraternal space in our communities? Often they wish to encounter a Church that offers them a welcoming home. Are our communities capable of providing that, accepting and valuing their sexual orientation, without compromising Catholic doctrine on the family and matrimony? (50)
This rhetorical language sets up the Church as an institution that faces the challenge of treating homosexual persons with charity and respect. But that is a false presentation of the reality.
Yes, every person has gifts and qualities to offer the Church by virtue of being human — but not in virtue of their spiritual or moral problems.
Bishop Athanasius Schneider confronted the absurdity of this position in an exclusive interview with ChurchMilitant.com:
Nobody says we have a “deep respect for alcoholic persons.” Deep respect? It is clear, I have to respect this person. But I have to say, “Ok, to drink this alcohol is not ok for these reasons.” So I have to say to commit homosexual acts and that lifestyle is not correct. It’s against reason, it’s against nature and it’s against the will of God.
Sadly, many of his Excellency’s fellow bishops support the deceitful rhetoric of the gay agenda. Last March, Cdl. Timothy Dolan led the St. Patrick’s Day Parade of New York City as Grand Marshal despite the parade’s allowing a homosexual activist group to participate.
In his explanation, Dolan used the same deceitful gay-friendly language:
[The Parade Committee] worried that the former policy [forbidding homosexual activist groups] was being interpreted as bias, exclusion and discrimination against a group in our city, which, if true, would also be contrary to Church teaching. … I found their sensitivity wise and publicly said so.
On the contrary, a Catholic parade celebrating a Catholic saint should exclude and discriminate against a political activist group who seeks to promote sexual perversion. Dolan’s political correctness has added to the illusion presented by the media that gay people are victims of discrimination and that they must be positively accepted.
And why does the media push this illusion? Because portraying anal sex addicts as victims of bigotry, with unique gifts to offer society, goes a long way to promoting gay marriage.
That’s the real issue. They want homosexuals to “encounter a Church that offers them a welcoming home” — meaning they want the Church to approve of their perverse lifestyles. The Church cannot change Her teaching on marriage and homosexuality because She doesn’t arbitrate what is good and evil; She merely safeguards good from evil.
Same-sex attraction is inherently disordered, and acting on such attraction is intrinsically evil and a grave sin. The real challenge is whether people with same-sex attraction (SSA) are capable of living chaste lives and re-orienting themselves to overcome their sexual disorders.
The real question is whether people with SSA will choose to battle the militant homosexual agenda and defend traditional marriage.

“God himself is the author of marriage” (GS 48:1). The vocation of marriage is written in the very nature of man and woman as they came from the hand of the Creator. Marriage is not a purely human institution despite the many variations it may have undergone through the centuries in different cultures, social structures, and spiritual attitudes (CCC:1603)

Many believe the Freemasons are simply a centuries-old charitable fraternity. However, the Catholic Church has consistently condemned Freemasonry more than any other error in its history because it promotes indifferentism, naturalism, communism, and other dangerous philosophies.

Michael Voris gives a series of short talks, answering questions coming in response to his talk on homosexuality in Nigeria.
In this talk from Nigeria, Michael Voris speaks about the grave evil presented as good – homosexuality. Catechism of Catholic Church teaches that, “Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity (cf. Gen 19:1-29; Rom 1:24-27; 1 Cor 6:10; 1 Tim 1:10), tradition has always declared that ‘homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered” (CDF, Persona humana 8). They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved” (CCC: 2357).

Michael Voris talks an in-depth discussion of the true, financial cost of abortion and its effects to the United States. “The inalienable rights of the person must be recognized and respected by civil society and the political authority. These human rights depend neither on single individuals nor on parents; nor do they represent a concession made by society and the state; they belong to human nature and are inherent in the person by virtue of the creative act from which the person took his origin. Among such fundamental rights one should mention in this regard every human being’s right to life and physical integrity from the moment of conception until death” (CDF, Donum vitae III; CCC: 2273).

We are used to thinking of the Rockefellers as simply a byword for wealth, power and financial success. Perhaps we might think of them as determined businessmen or see them as great philanthropists.
